Päivi was born in northern Finland but grew up in Botkyrka, a suburb of Stockholm. Päivi has been active in many different types of team sports, among other things. Floorball on elite level, and trained many other training forms. Päivi started yoga when the studio was opened in 2008 and only went there to support her friend, there was no particular interest in yoga. Päivi thought it was a tough and good form of training, though very hard and went sporadically for about a year. Two times a year, challenges were arranged at the studio. After the first 30-day challenge Päivi participated in, she was “hocked”. Now 10 years later, Päivi has no difficulty in expressing what yoga has meant to her, physically, mentally and spiritually. One year ago, Päivi came home from traveling around the world for 2 years. Päivi took leave of absence from her job as a treatment manager for children, young people and her parents to take care of herself after having had a difficult time in her life. On this trip, Päivi trained among other things for yoga teachers, attended a training in Pranayama and participated in a Vipassana. By giving herself the possibility of doing yoga around the world (and also teaching), Päivi realizes that yoga is a fantastic way to get to know yourself, to challenge yourself and to develop yourself on a personal level. Yoga is incredibly beneficial to yourself and through it even your surroundings. Yoga also gives you the opportunity to join a community, a community, to meet and get to know so many nice people in the studio or around the world are in themselves a just one of the many favors of yoga.
